IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi has commenced the admission process for undergraduate courses, offering B. Tech. in computer science and engineering, and B. Tech. in energy engineering in the academic year 2024-25. The campus has a total of 60 seats available, with 30 seats in each program. The first batch of students will be admitted in August or September. The admissions for the academic programs will be through CAET 2024 and JEE-Advanced 2024. Eligibility criteria for CAET include securing at least 75% aggregate marks in Class/Grade XII, being born after October 1, 1999, attempting the test a maximum of two times, and not being admitted to any IIT earlier.

Additional criteria for eligibility for CAET 2024 include applicants residing in the UAE securing a valid score in EmSAT OR SAT. Indian nationals who are children of UAE residents living in UAE for the past five years and have completed their Class/Grade 10 to 12 schooling in the UAE are eligible to apply. Candidates who have secured a PIO and OCI card after March 4, 2021, are considered international students. The marks scored in physics, chemistry, mathematics, a language, and another subject will be considered for calculating the aggregate marks and cut-off marks for percentile. A one-year relaxation is given to UAE nationals who have served one year of compulsory military service with a valid certificate.

Important dates for CAET include the start of online registration on May 16, end of online registration on June 3, availability of admit card for download on June 14, entrance test on June 23, declaration of result on July 7, and seat allocation process in July-August. For further details regarding eligibility tests, centers, and submission of applications, applicants can visit the official website or contact [email protected]. The IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi campus is a collaboration between the Indian Ministry of Education and ADEK, offering premier technical and research education funded by the Indian government.
