Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum recently inaugurated the Expo 2020 Dubai Museum in Expo City on International Museum Day. The museum offers a look behind the scenes of the Expo 2020 Dubai journey, showcasing the UAE’s first participation in World Expos in the 1970s, the inception and bid of Expo 2020, masterplan design, site construction, challenges faced due to the pandemic and postponement, the opening ceremony, and the six-month event. The museum also highlights the impacts and ongoing legacy of the World Expo.

The Expo 2020 Dubai Museum will officially open to the public with free entry on May 18. Visitors on May 18 and 19 will have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary, combined entry to the new museum and the city’s three Stories of Nations exhibitions, as well as a 50 percent discount on all other attractions such as Alif, Terra, the Women’s and Vision Pavilions, and Garden in the Sky. This initiative aims to encourage more people to explore the cultural and artistic offerings of Expo City.
