The Gymnastika Solo Cup 2024 is set to be the biggest international competition in the world of rhythmic gymnastics, with over 800 gymnasts from 25 countries participating. The event will be held at Al Nasr Club in Dubai from May 17-19, featuring top stars like Alina Harnasko, Anastasiia Salos, and Lala Kramarenko. These athletes have impressive track records, with multiple medals and championships to their names.

The competition will also include gymnasts from the GCC region, the Americas, Russia, Asia, and local young athletes of Palestinian heritage. One of the highlights of the tournament will be 13-year-old Lamia Tariq Malallah, the only Emirati rhythmic gymnast in the country. Lamia’s mother, Malak Alfarsi, believes that her daughter is well-prepared for the tough challenge ahead, especially against elite European gymnasts.

Organizers are expecting a large turnout of over 6,000 spectators at the stadium and over 10 million online viewers. The prize fund for the tournament is set at 10,000 Euros, making it a lucrative event for the participants. The Gymnastika Solo Cup has quickly become a popular event for rhythmic gymnasts in just three years, attracting top talents from around the world to Dubai.

Anastasia Zakrevskaya, CEO of Gymnastika RG Club UAE, expressed her gratitude to the Dubai Sports Council and the UAE’s General Authority of Sports for their support in making the event possible. She also thanked the founding members of the Gymnastics Federation in the UAE for their commitment to the development of sports in the country. The tournament aims to showcase the extraordinary talents of young gymnasts and create lasting memories for all involved.

Ali Omar, Head of Sports Events Department at the Dubai Sports Council, commended the efforts put into organizing the competition and wished the participants the best of luck. The event will also feature notable figures from the gymnastics world, including competition judge Yana Lukonina and Russian national team coach, Tariq Ali Abdullah Malallah. The competition will conclude with a dazzling ‘Show of Stars of World Gymnastics’, featuring various sports clubs and Olympic stars from around the world.

Overall, the Gymnastika Solo Cup 2024 promises to be a thrilling event for fans of rhythmic gymnastics, showcasing top talent from across the globe and offering a platform for young athletes to shine on the international stage. With the support of the UAE and the Dubai Sports Council, the tournament is set to elevate the sport and inspire future generations of gymnasts.
