Renowned Indian actress Tabu has recently landed a significant role in the international series ‘Dune: Prophecy’. She has been cast in a recurring role as Sister Francesca in the Max prequel series, leaving all of her “desi fans” extremely happy. Fans took to social media platforms expressing their excitement and admiration for the versatile actress.

Tabu’s character, Sister Francesca, is described as strong, intelligent, and alluring, leaving a lasting impression with her return to the palace. The series, originally commissioned in 2019 under the title ‘Dune: The Sisterhood’, is inspired by the novel ‘Sisterhood of Dune’ written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. Set within the universe of ‘Dune’, the series follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces threatening the future of humankind.

In ‘Dune: Prophecy’, Tabu will share screen space with renowned actors such as Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, and Mark Strong, among others. The series is co-produced by Max and Legendary Television, with Legendary also producing the film franchise. Despite the excitement surrounding Tabu’s role, the release date of the show has been kept under wraps.

Tabu made her debut in Western cinema with ‘The Namesake’ in 2006, which received positive reviews and critical acclaim across the globe. Her second film, ‘Life of Pi’ in 2012, went on to win four Oscars, including Best Director for Ang Lee. Additionally, in Bollywood, Tabu is set to reunite with Ajay Devgn in the film ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum’, directed by Neeraj Pandey, portraying an epic musical romantic drama spanning over 23 years.

Fans of Tabu are eagerly anticipating her performance in ‘Dune: Prophecy’ and are excited to see her share screen space with other well-known actors. As an established actress with a successful career in both Indian and Western cinema, Tabu’s addition to the series has generated a lot of buzz and anticipation among viewers. With her talent and versatility, there is no doubt that she will deliver a memorable performance in ‘Dune: Prophecy’.
