New programs revealed in the electricity sector with a focus on customer satisfaction

Nama Supply Company recently organized a media conference in partnership with Nama Distribution Company and Nama Dhofar Services Company to unveil their initiatives focused on enhancing customer satisfaction. The conference covered various programs aimed at raising awareness about electricity consumption and efficiency, as well as field campaigns to strengthen the partnership between service providers and the community. Attendees were educated about their rights to basic account tariff and the positive impact it can have on electricity bills.

During the conference, company representatives provided detailed information about the eligibility for the National Electricity Subsidy, emphasizing the reliability of the electricity network and its readiness to address emergency outages, especially during the summer season. The CEO of Nama Supply, Salim Said Al Kemyani, reiterated the company’s commitment to delivering top-quality service and continuous development. He highlighted the company’s efforts to forge partnerships with various segments of the community through field visits and meetings with public organizations and local institutions.

Nama Supply also introduced a smartphone application called “Nama Services,” which offers features such as viewing the monthly electricity bill, comparing consumption with previous periods, accessing payment details, and making bill payments. Additionally, the company launched the “Thabit” service, which allows customers to make fixed monthly payments throughout the year to avoid financial difficulties arising from high electricity bills during the summer. Eng. Alaa Hassan Al Lawati, CEO of Nama Electricity Distribution Company, emphasized the company’s focus on ensuring the reliability of the electricity network by implementing and enhancing various stations and electricity lines.

He highlighted the development of comprehensive contingency plans to handle emergency interruptions effectively during the summer period and emphasized the company’s commitment to following procedures and standards related to the health and safety of the electricity network. Nama Distribution Company is actively exploring the use of modern technology in monitoring and managing electricity networks, with a significant deployment of smart meters currently underway. Eng. Ali Essa Shammas, CEO of Nama Dhofar Services, emphasized the company’s efforts in preparation for the upcoming Dhofar Khareef season to meet the rising demand for electricity in the Governorate of Dhofar.

Furthermore, the Nama Group companies provided an update on the progress of the smart meters project, with a completion rate exceeding 45% and ongoing work to extend coverage to all electricity accounts. This comprehensive deployment aims to maximize the benefits and leverage the project’s potential to the fullest extent possible. Overall, the Nama Group companies are committed to providing top-quality service, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the electricity network for the community.
