The 17th edition of the FIP World Padel Championships is set to take place in Doha, Qatar, from October 28 to November 2, 2024. The prestigious event will see 16 national teams vying for the title in both the men’s and women’s categories at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex. Qatar was chosen as the host country based on various criteria such as the quality of sporting facilities, player conditions, event delivery experience, security, financial stability, geographic location, and sporting heritage. The growing popularity of padel in Qatar, supported by the Qatar Tennis Federation, has also contributed to the selection of Doha as the host city.

With a prize pool of €500,000, the FIP World Padel Championships will provide equal opportunities for men and women from all qualified countries to compete in the final stage of the tournament. This event follows the FIP Seniors World Padel Championships held in Alicante earlier this year and the FIP Juniors World Padel Championships in Asunción last year. The previous edition of the championships in 2022, held in Dubai, saw Argentina emerging as the champions in the men’s category, while Spain claimed victory in the women’s category.

FIP President Luigi Carraro expressed his excitement about the upcoming tournament in Doha, highlighting the importance of the event in showcasing the world’s most talented padel athletes. Qatar Tennis Federation President Nasser Al Khelaifi affirmed the country’s commitment to hosting world-class sporting events and ensuring exceptional conditions for players and fans at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex. This will be the second time that Qatar hosts the FIP World Padel Championships, following the successful edition in 2021.

The upcoming championships in Doha will provide an opportunity for players and fans to experience top-level competition in a vibrant and enthusiastic environment. With Qatar’s track record of delivering major sporting events to the highest standards, the 2024 FIP World Padel Championships are expected to be a memorable event for all involved. The partnership between the International Padel Federation and the Qatar Tennis Federation signifies a shared goal of promoting the growth and development of padel globally, further solidifying Doha’s position as a hub for international padel tournaments.

As the countdown to the 17th FIP World Padel Championships begins, anticipation is building for an exciting and competitive tournament that will bring together the best national teams in the sport. With Doha’s world-class facilities, passionate local fan base, and exceptional hosting capabilities, the stage is set for a successful and unforgettable championship event. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming FIP World Padel Championships in Doha, Qatar, and witness the thrill and excitement of this pinnacle national team padel tournament.
