Bangladesh has named their 15-man squad for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States in June. The team will be led by batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto, who was recently appointed as the skipper in all three formats of the game. This decision was made due to uncertainty over the availability of experienced all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who was dealing with an eye problem. Shakib recently made his comeback to T20 international cricket after a gap of nearly a year during the home series against Zimbabwe, where he claimed five wickets in two matches.

In addition to Shakib, pace bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib has also been called up to the squad after his impressive performances in the recent series win against Zimbabwe. Shoriful Islam has also been recalled to the team after being rested for the final two matches. The Bangladesh team will be competing in Group D of the World Cup alongside Sri Lanka, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Nepal. They are scheduled to open their campaign against Sri Lanka in Dallas on June 7.

The full squad includes Najmul Hossain Shanto as captain, along with Taskin Ahmed, Litton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Tawhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah Riyad, Jaker Ali Anik, Tanvir Islam, Shak Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and of course, Shakib Al Hasan. These players will be representing Bangladesh in their quest for success in the T20 World Cup.

It is an exciting time for Bangladesh cricket fans as they anticipate the team’s performance in the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup. With Shakib Al Hasan back in the squad and leading players like Najmul Hossain Shanto, Taskin Ahmed, and Litton Das, the team has a strong lineup that is capable of competing against some of the world’s best cricketing nations. Fans will be eagerly awaiting the opening match against Sri Lanka and hoping for a successful campaign for their team.

The inclusion of Shakib Al Hasan in the squad adds a wealth of experience and talent to the team, as he is considered one of the best all-rounders in the world. His return to T20 international cricket after a year-long absence is a positive sign for Bangladesh, and his performance in the recent series against Zimbabwe has shown that he is still a force to be reckoned with. With players like Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Shoriful Islam also in the squad, Bangladesh has a good mix of youth and experience to take on their opponents in the World Cup.

The competition in the T20 World Cup will be fierce, with teams from around the world vying for the coveted title. Bangladesh will need to bring their A-game and showcase their skills on the field to have a successful campaign. With the leadership of Najmul Hossain Shanto and the presence of seasoned players like Mahmudullah Riyad and Mustafizur Rahman, the team has a strong foundation to build upon. Fans will be rallying behind the team, supporting them every step of the way as they aim to make a mark on the global cricket stage.

As the countdown to the T20 World Cup begins, Bangladesh will be working hard to fine-tune their preparations and ensure that they are ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead. With a balanced squad that combines youth and experience, the team has the potential to spring some surprises and make a deep run in the tournament. All eyes will be on Shakib Al Hasan and his teammates as they aim to make their mark in the world of T20 cricket and bring glory to their nation.
