In a recent interview with News18, actor Dia Mirza spoke about her bond with her stepdaughter Samaira Rekhi, revealing that Samaira does not refer to her as “maa” or mother. Dia explained that there is no expectation for Samaira to call her ‘maa’ as she already has a mother whom she calls ‘mumma’ or ‘mom’. Instead, Samaira refers to Dia by her name, and even Dia’s baby boy Avyaan also calls her ‘Dia mom’ at times.

Dia Mirza married businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in 2021 and welcomed a baby boy named Avyaan in the same year. Samaira is Vaibhav’s daughter from his previous marriage to Sunaina. Despite not being called ‘maa’ by Samaira, Dia shares a special bond with both Samaira and Avyaan, as she expressed on Mother’s Day by sharing heartfelt photos on Instagram celebrating their relationship.

In the pictures shared by Dia on Mother’s Day, she expressed that being a mother to Samaira and Avyaan is the greatest privilege of her life. The photos captured a tender moment between Samaira and Avyaan, emphasizing the love and connection Dia has with her stepdaughter and son. Dia’s openness and love for Samaira and Avyaan highlights the importance of blended families and the bonds that can be formed beyond traditional roles.

Dia Mirza was last seen in the road drama film Dhak Dhak, where she portrayed a character navigating a transformative journey alongside other talented actors. Directed by Tarun Dudeja, the film explores themes of freedom and empowerment through the adventurous road trip of a girl gang. Dia’s portrayal in the film showcases her versatility as an actor and her ability to bring complex characters to life on screen.

In addition to her acting career, Dia Mirza continues to make headlines for her personal life and her commitment to environmental and social causes. Her openness about her relationship with Samaira and Avyaan and her dedication to her blended family serve as an inspiration for others in similar situations. Dia’s love and support for her stepdaughter and son demonstrate the beauty of building strong family connections regardless of traditional labels.

Overall, Dia Mirza’s candid interview and her celebration of her bond with Samaira and Avyaan reflect her genuine love and care for her extended family. By sharing her experiences and emotions openly, Dia sets an example for others on how to navigate relationships in blended families with love, respect, and understanding. Her positive and nurturing approach to motherhood and family life is truly admirable and serves as a reminder of the power of love and connection in all types of families.
