The UAE strongly condemns the attack on a Jordanian aid convoy by Israeli settlers that was headed to the Gaza Strip through Beit Hanoun. They also condemned the attack on the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in occupied Jerusalem. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) held Israel fully responsible for these heinous attacks and called for an urgent, independent, and transparent investigation to punish those responsible for violating international humanitarian law.

The MoFA emphasized the importance of the international community’s support for UNRWA’s efforts in providing sustainable services and assistance to Palestinian refugees facing critical conditions due to ongoing Israeli violations. The ministry also praised Jordan’s efforts in supporting Palestinians and the people of Gaza in dealing with challenging humanitarian conditions. It stressed the immediate need for a ceasefire to prevent the targeting of civilians, organisations, civilian facilities, and relief organizations, while urging the safe and sustainable delivery of aid to Gaza.
