The UAE has recently launched the ‘Freejna School project’, which aims to empower and nurture 1,000 talented students across various fields. The project will focus on turning government schools into community centers after school hours, offering training in science, literature, culture, sports, and art. The initiative will be implemented in three stages, starting with activating community activities in selected schools, followed by evaluating the impact on students, and finally expanding to all government schools in the country.

Mubarak Al Hammadi, Acting Head of the extracurricular activities Department at the Emirates School Education Foundation, highlighted the significance of the Freejna School project for future governmental education. The project will include a wide range of activities and programs to develop social skills and interests in Emirati children. Al Hammadi emphasized the importance of bringing UAE families and communities together by providing a central meeting point for parents and children to engage in activities outside of official school hours.

Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, described the Freejna School project as a transformative initiative in the national education sector. The project aligns with the comprehensive vision for the future of government education and aims to enhance social interactions and unity within society. Schools participating in the program will serve as hubs for constructive interaction and diverse activities, promoting stronger bonds between students, educators, community members, and partners.

The project will utilize the advanced infrastructure and facilities in public schools to create a safe and accessible environment for students close to their homes. By maximizing school facilities outside of regular hours, the initiative aims to foster collaboration and partnership between various stakeholders in the education sector. The ultimate goal is to enhance the overall educational experience for students and create a sense of community cohesion within the UAE.

The Freejna School project is expected to have a broad societal impact, bringing families and communities together through shared activities and programs. By providing a platform for social interaction and skill development, the project aims to enhance the overall well-being of students and create a sense of unity among diverse communities in the country. The government’s investment in education and extracurricular activities reflects a commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation among the youth of the UAE.

In conclusion, the UAE’s Freejna School project represents a significant step towards transforming the government education sector by integrating community-focused activities and programs into the school environment. By promoting social interaction, skill development, and community engagement, the initiative aims to create a more inclusive and cohesive society. With a focus on empowerment and talent development, the project is set to make a lasting impact on the future of education in the UAE.
