The Qatar Meteorology Department is warning residents of Doha, Qatar to brace for strong winds and high seas this upcoming weekend. The weather is expected to be hot during the day, with temperatures ranging from 26°C to 37°C on both Friday and Saturday. In addition to the heat, there is also a possibility of blowing dust throughout the weekend, which can affect visibility and air quality.

On Friday, strong winds are forecasted to blow in a northwesterly direction at speeds of 12-33 KT, with gusts up to 32 KT. By the evening, the wind is expected to decrease to 5-15 KT. The following day, Saturday, strong winds are expected from the northwesterly to northeasterly direction at 5-15 KT, with gusts reaching up to 20 KT. These strong winds can pose a challenge for outdoor activities and may cause potential damage to property.

In terms of sea conditions, on Friday, sea height is expected to range between 3-5ft, reaching up to 11ft offshore. While on Saturday, sea heights will be slightly lower, ranging from 1-3ft and reaching up to 8ft offshore initially. These high sea levels can result in rough water conditions, making it unsafe for swimming or water activities.

It is important for residents in Doha to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period of inclement weather. This includes securing loose objects outdoors, staying indoors as much as possible, and avoiding travel by sea if possible. Additionally, motorists should exercise caution while driving, as strong winds can impact visibility and control of vehicles.

Overall, it is crucial for residents to stay informed about the weather conditions and heed any warnings or advisories issued by the Qatar Meteorology Department. By being proactive and prepared, individuals can minimize the risks associated with the strong winds and high seas expected during the weekend in Doha, Qatar.
