The Arabian Travel Market 2024 opened with a bang as prominent figures from the aviation industry came together to showcase their latest innovations. HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, along with Qatar Airways Group CEO, Eng. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, and flydubai CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, toured the event. Qatar Airways stole the show with a holographic display of Sama, their AI-powered digital human cabin crew, engaging attendees in conversations about the airline’s operations.

Sama, designed to provide personalized travel experiences, demonstrated the airline’s technological advancement at the ATM 2024. With advanced conversational AI, Sama interacted effortlessly with visitors, showcasing her knowledge and engaging them in immersive experiences. Visitors were treated to virtual reality tours and multi-sensory pods, offering a unique glimpse into the airline’s state-of-the-art fleet and luxurious Qsuite.

Qatar Airways’ CEO, Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, expressed excitement at showcasing Sama 2.0 and emphasized the airline’s commitment to exceeding expectations. The national carrier of Qatar recently announced route launches and resumptions to meet the growing travel demand, with over 170 destinations in its global network. With flights to destinations like Democratic Republic of Congo, Uzbekistan, Portugal, Italy, and Germany starting this summer, Qatar Airways is expanding its reach across the globe.

In addition to new destinations, Qatar Airways will increase flight frequencies to several popular destinations this summer, including Almaty, Baku, Bangkok, Copenhagen, and Dusseldorf. With increased frequency and new routes on the horizon, the airline is poised to provide travelers with even more options for their journeys. Passengers can look forward to enhanced connectivity and convenience when flying with Qatar Airways this summer.

The airline’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction is evident in its continuous efforts to enhance the passenger experience.
