The Qatar Racing Club Director, Sheikh Jabor bin Khalid Al Thani, recently celebrated the podium winners of the fifth round of the Qatar Freestyle Drifting Championship. The final round of the championship took place at the Qatar Racing Club, where Saud Al Mari emerged victorious. The event, which was held under the patronage of QRC Chairman H E Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, featured a total of 55 competitors who battled it out to end the season on a high note.

Al Mari’s victory in the last round marked his second consecutive win, with Rashid Al Banna securing the runner-up spot and Saud Al Kuwari clinching third place on the podium. The opening day of the final round focused on registration and technical inspections of the participating cars, ensuring the presence of essential safety elements such as roll cages, battery installations, helmets, and other safety factors for both the cars and drivers.

The competitions for the final round began on a high note on Friday, with strong excitement gripping the audiences until the last moments. Mohammed Al Farhan claimed fourth place in the round, while Abdulrahman Al Kubaisi rounded out the top five. Sheikh Jabor bin Khalid Al Thani crowned the podium winners, bringing an end to the club’s last tournaments.

Despite the conclusion of the championship, the Qatar Racing Club announced that the events would continue. The club will be opening the motocross track for racers next Friday in the morning session, followed by the opening of the showground in the evening session. This announcement indicates that there is more to come from the club, providing racers and audiences with further opportunities to enjoy thrilling competitions and events in the future.
