Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, recently visited the site of the second phase of the Avenues Mall expansion project. During his visit, Shaikh Khalid highlighted the rapid growth of investment activities in major projects by the private sector, showcasing the attractive competitive environment of the kingdom. This growth is a result of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and followed up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Waleed Al Sharian, the Chief Executive Officer at Mabanee Company, provided Shaikh Khalid with a detailed briefing on the components of the project’s second phase and its facilities, which are designed with modern and diverse architectural concepts. The progress rate of completion for this phase has reached 75%, indicating the project’s advancement. Shaikh Khalid mentioned that the expansion of the Avenues Mall will have a positive impact on the commercial and tourism sectors in the kingdom, creating more job opportunities for citizens and meeting the needs of its visitors, ultimately benefiting the national economy.

Shaikh Khalid emphasized that the Avenues Mall project represents a successful investment of municipal resources in the long term and a successful partnership between the public and private sectors. He expressed his appreciation to all relevant authorities for their cooperation in completing the project on time. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, the Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture, highlighted the government’s focus on supporting developmental projects to achieve the goals of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 through partnerships with the private sector. He commended Shaikh Khalid for his dedication to integrating efforts between various ministries and relevant government agencies to ensure project success through his chairmanship of the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects.

In conclusion, the visit by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to the Avenues Mall expansion project site showcases the government’s commitment to supporting sustainable development and economic growth through strategic partnerships with the private sector. The ongoing expansion of the mall will not only enhance the commercial and tourism sectors in Bahrain but also create job opportunities for citizens and contribute to the national economy. The successful collaboration between public and private entities in this project sets a positive example for future endeavors in the kingdom, aligning with the goals of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. Shaikh Khalid’s leadership and dedication to overseeing development projects reflect his commitment to advancing the nation’s infrastructure and promoting economic prosperity.
