Filipino conjoined twins Akhizah and Ayeesha Yosoph recently arrived in Riyadh on a Saudi evacuation plane, arranged by the Ministry of Health, as per the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The twins were quickly taken to the King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital (KASCH) for a thorough evaluation of their health condition to determine the feasibility of a successful surgical separation. Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, advisor at the Royal Court and supervisor general of KSrelief, expressed his gratitude to the King and Crown Prince for their continuous support towards the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program and other humanitarian efforts.

Dr. Al Rabeeah emphasized the global significance of the program as it serves as a flagship initiative in the medical field. He also pointed out how the program aligns with the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to elevate the Kingdom’s healthcare services to a prominent position worldwide. The parents of Akhizah and Ayeesha, who are currently in Riyadh accompanying their daughters, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to King Salman and the Crown Prince for the warm welcome and generous hospitality they have received since arriving in the Kingdom. They prayed for Allah’s protection and blessings for the Saudi leadership and the everlasting security and safety of the Kingdom.

The arrival of Akhizah and Ayeesha in Riyadh marks a significant step in their journey towards a potential surgical separation. The medical team at KASCH is working diligently to assess the twins’ health condition and determine the best course of action for their care. Dr. Al Rabeeah, who is heading the medical team overseeing the separation procedure, is optimistic about the prospects of a successful surgery and the positive impact it will have not only on the twins but also on the medical community at large.

The support and care provided by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program highlight the Kingdom’s commitment to humanitarian endeavors and advancing medical research and care. The parents of Akhizah and Ayeesha, grateful for the warm welcome they have received in Riyadh, are hopeful for a positive outcome for their daughters. Their prayers for the Saudi leadership and the Kingdom reflect the deep sense of appreciation and gratitude they have towards the hospitality extended to them during their time in Saudi Arabia.

As the medical team at KASCH continues to evaluate Akhizah and Ayeesha’s health condition, the possibility of a successful surgical separation looms on the horizon. The dedication and expertise of the medical professionals involved in their care, along with the unwavering support of the Saudi leadership, are key factors in ensuring the twins receive the best possible treatment. The global significance of the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to excellence in healthcare and its role as a leader in medical innovation and research. The journey of Akhizah and Ayeesha in Riyadh represents a beacon of hope for conjoined twins worldwide, as they receive the specialized care and attention they need to thrive and live healthy, fulfilling lives.
