American golfer Brooks Koepka creates history at LIV Golf Singapore – News

Brooks Koepka of Smash GC made history by winning the $25 million 54-hole LIV Golf Singapore tournament at Sentosa GC. He shot a final round of 68 for a total of 15 under par 198, becoming the first player to win four individual titles on LIV Golf. Starting with a three-shot lead, Koepka fired four birdies and a bogey for a two-shot victory, expressing his satisfaction with his recent hard work paying off.

Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman finished as runners-up with final rounds of 64 and 66, helping Team Ripper GC secure the Team Championship. Smith, the team captain, praised his team’s performance and resilience after a slow start, aiming to continue their success in future tournaments. Adrian Meronk of Cleeks GC, who played alongside Koepka, had a disappointing final round but finished strong with three consecutive birdies to secure a tied second-place finish.

Defending champion Talor Gooch, representing Smash GC, finished in fourth place, three shots behind the winner. The upcoming LIV Golf event, LIV Golf – Houston, is scheduled for June 7th-9th, 2024.
