The Malaysian Prime Minister’s Office and the Muslim World League are joining forces to organize the largest international conference for religious leaders in Asia. The event, entitled “Promoting Harmony Among Followers of Religions,” is scheduled to take place on May 7 in Kuala Lumpur. Over 2,000 religious and intellectual figures from 57 countries are expected to attend. Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim and MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa will sponsor and participate in the conference, which will focus on themes such as pluralism, tolerance, moderation, education, building bridges, and inclusive commonalities.

The main goal of the conference is to emphasize the important role that religion plays in promoting global peace, fostering solidarity among different communities, and exploring opportunities for civilizational cooperation. In line with these objectives, the event will also launch initiatives based on the “Makkah Declaration” and promote religious values. By bringing together religious leaders from diverse backgrounds, the conference aims to facilitate dialogue and understanding among followers of different faiths, ultimately paving the way for peaceful coexistence and collaboration across borders.

The conference represents a significant platform for religious leaders to come together and exchange ideas on how to address common challenges and promote mutual respect and understanding. By emphasizing the values of pluralism, tolerance, and moderation, the event seeks to foster a culture of inclusivity and cooperation among followers of various religions. Through education and dialogue, participants will explore ways to build bridges between different communities and identify shared values that can serve as a basis for collaboration and peacebuilding efforts.

One of the key objectives of the conference is to highlight the shared values and teachings that are common to many world religions. By promoting these inclusive commonalities, the event aims to demonstrate that despite their differences, followers of different faiths can come together to promote harmony, understanding, and respect for one another. By focusing on building bridges and promoting dialogue, the conference seeks to create a platform for religious leaders to collaborate on initiatives that benefit societies as a whole and contribute to the advancement of peace and security in the region and beyond.

In addition to fostering dialogue and understanding among religious leaders, the conference also aims to promote the values of peace, solidarity, and cooperation among people of different faiths. By highlighting the importance of religious values in promoting universal peace and enhancing social cohesion, the event seeks to inspire participants to work together to address common challenges and promote a culture of tolerance and harmony. Through the launch of initiatives based on the “Makkah Declaration” and other key documents, the conference aims to inspire meaningful action and promote positive change in communities around the world.

Overall, the upcoming conference on “Promoting Harmony Among Followers of Religions” promises to be a significant and impactful event that brings together religious leaders from across Asia and beyond to discuss key issues related to peace, tolerance, and cooperation. By emphasizing the importance of building bridges and promoting dialogue among followers of different faiths, the conference aims to foster a culture of understanding, respect, and inclusivity that can serve as a foundation for lasting peace and collaboration in the region and beyond. Through initiatives based on shared values and principles, the event seeks to inspire participants to work together to promote harmony, solidarity, and cooperation among peoples of different religious backgrounds.
