Students from the UAE were awarded for the best comprehensive presentation at the second Gulf Arts Festival for general education students in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The event was organised by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in the UAE, with 120 students participating in school theatre, Arabic calligraphy, and visual arts. The closing ceremony of the festival was attended by prominent figures in the field, including Ismail Abdallah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Arab Theatre Institute, and Dr. Issa Saleh Al-Hammadi, Director of Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf States.

Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Alasmi, Director-General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, highlighted the importance of the Gulf Arts Festival in promoting fraternal competition among students, enhancing their confidence, social skills, and creativity. He emphasized the bureau’s commitment to incorporating arts into its programmes to address social issues, strengthen relationships, and foster feelings of loyalty and belonging. The festival serves as a platform for students to showcase their talents and express themselves through various art forms.

The Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States aims to provide students in the Gulf countries with opportunities to engage in artistic activities that promote cultural exchange and collaboration. The Gulf Arts Festival is a testament to the region’s commitment to nurturing creativity and artistic talent among youth. By encouraging students to participate in the festival, the bureau hopes to instill a sense of pride and achievement in their cultural heritage and artistic abilities.

The festival not only promotes artistic excellence but also serves as a platform for students to learn from each other and exchange ideas. Through the various tracks offered at the festival, including school theatre, Arabic calligraphy, and visual arts, students can explore different forms of expression and showcase their unique talents. The festival encourages students to think creatively and experiment with new artistic techniques, fostering a spirit of innovation and collaboration.

The success of the UAE students at the Gulf Arts Festival highlights the country’s commitment to promoting arts education and providing opportunities for young talents to thrive. The recognition received by the UAE students is a testament to their dedication and talent in the field of arts, showcasing the country’s vibrant cultural landscape and creative potential.

As the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States continues to support initiatives like the Gulf Arts Festival, the future looks bright for students interested in pursuing a career in the arts. By fostering a culture of creativity and artistic expression, the bureau is helping to shape the next generation of artists and innovators in the Gulf region.
