HH Sayyid Asa’ad delivers HM The Sultan’s condolences to the President of the UAE

HH Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tarik Al Said, the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and the Personal Representative of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, recently conveyed His Majesty the Sultan’s condolences to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This was in relation to the passing of Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who was the Representative of the Ruler of Al Ain area. The heartfelt meeting between HH Sayyid Asa’ad and Sheikh Mohammed took place at Al Mushrif Palace in the capital city of Abu Dhabi.

Accompanying HH Sayyid Asa’ad was a high-level delegation, which included prominent figures such as HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, the Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court, and Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, the Minister of Interior. Also present were Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, the Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Badi, the Secretary General at the office of HH Sayyid Asa’ad, and Sayyid Dr. Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting between HH Sayyid Asa’ad and Sheikh Mohammed was significant as it underscored the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between Oman and the UAE. It also highlighted the mutual respect and support that exists between the two nations during times of sorrow and loss. The visit served as a gesture of solidarity and compassion from Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Sheikh Mohammed and the people of the UAE.

The presence of such a distinguished delegation from Oman further emphasized the importance of the relationship between the two countries and the desire to strengthen bilateral ties in various fields, including culture, sports, youth, and more. The exchange of condolences and expressions of sympathy served as a reminder of the shared values and common interests that unite Oman and the UAE.

The visit to Al Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi also provided an opportunity for discussions on regional issues of mutual concern and the exploration of opportunities for enhanced collaboration in areas of common interest. It showcased the commitment of both Oman and the UAE to continued dialogue, cooperation, and coordination on matters of regional stability, security, and development.

Overall, the meeting between HH Sayyid Asa’ad and Sheikh Mohammed was a reflection of the enduring friendship and close partnership between Oman and the UAE. It highlighted the solidarity and support that the two nations offer each other during times of need and underscored the shared commitment to working together for the mutual benefit and prosperity of their respective peoples.
