Muscat: The Ministry of Health, represented by the Directorate General of Health Services of Muscat Governorate (DGHS-Muscat) signed today a cloud hosting project agreement with Oman Digital Data Company (Oman Data Park).

The agreement was signed by Dr. Thamra Said Al Ghafri, DGHS-Muscat Director General, and Khaled Nasser Al Abri, the General Manager of Corporate Support at Oman Data Park.

The DGHS-Muscat Director General underscored the importance of strengthening the partnership between the public sector and other sectors to develop and provide high-quality health services. She also commended the noble initiative Oman Data Park presented to support the electronic training and administrative platform “Athar” for the Directorate General of Health Services of Muscat Governorate.

The platform provides high-quality training services to develop skills and enhance the competencies of health workers. It also works to improve the basics of vocational training by providing digital tools that contribute to enhancing the quality of health services.

The platform serves as the main gateway for employees of the Directorate to stay updated on training updates, professional development programs, and facilitates the process for employees to apply for missions, study leaves, and training grants.

The activation of the platform has brought about a qualitative transformation in the field of training and various administrative services. Training materials have become accessible to all employees under the Directorate, serving as the primary electronic reference for employee training data and as a measure of their training proficiency.

On his turn, the General Manager of Corporate Support at Oman Data Park affirmed that the company will provide technical support by offering cloud hosting for the platform for a duration of two years. This support ensures the continuous operation of the electronic platform and enhances the security of its data to the highest possible extent.
