350 artists participating in Qatar International Arts Festival 2024

The 6th Qatar International Arts Festival (QIAF 2024) will be taking place from November 25-30 at the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara. The event is organized in collaboration with MAPS International, the International Council of Museums, and the British Council. The festival aims to promote cultural exchange and artistic interaction, showcasing works from artists around the world. Katara’s Director of Research and Studies, Dr. Nadia Al Mudahka, emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation for intercultural communication through the participation of artists from different backgrounds and schools.

The festival will bring together approximately 350 participants from 73 countries, including visual artists who will showcase their diverse creations. Founder and President of MAPS International, Rashmi Agarwal, highlighted the variety of activities that will be featured at the event, such as underwater dives and pointe ballet dances. Additionally, there will be 15 galleries from around the world participating in the festival. The event will also include 16 international pavilions representing countries such as Qatar, US, UK, France, Spain, Iran, China, Russia, Armenia, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Uruguay, and Slovakia.

One of the highlights of the Qatar International Arts Festival will be an award ceremony on November 30 to honor distinguished works. The event aims to support cultural and artistic dialogue that transcends borders and languages, fostering communication and cultural diversity. The festival reflects a shared vision of spreading culture and enhancing artistic interaction, showcasing the aspirations of Katara to promote intercultural communication through the arts. This year’s festival promises to be a vibrant and engaging celebration of creativity and diversity, bringing together artists and participants from all over the world.
