Doha, Qatar – Qatar Foundation (QF) has launched “The QF Generation,” a new storytelling initiative celebrating its 30th anniversary. The platform features 30 individuals whose lives have been significantly impacted by the foundation, showcasing their journeys and contributions to various fields. This initiative highlights QF’s three decades of fostering education, research, and community development within Qatar and beyond.

The launch, announced this week, aims to demonstrate the lasting impact of QF’s programs and investments in human potential. “The QF Generation” includes a commemorative coffee table book and a dedicated digital platform, both designed to share personal narratives of growth and achievement. The initiative underscores QF’s commitment to nurturing a generation equipped to drive positive change.

Celebrating 30 Years of Impact: The QF Generation

Established in 1995, Qatar Foundation has evolved into a central force in Qatar’s transformation, focusing on sustainable human development. The foundation’s efforts span education – from early childhood to university level – research, innovation, and community welfare. “The QF Generation” is a direct reflection of this long-term vision, showcasing the diverse outcomes of its investments.

Stories of Transformation and Leadership

The featured individuals represent a broad spectrum of QF’s reach. Fatma Al Khater, founder of Torba Market, a local farmers’ market promoting sustainable agriculture, is among those profiled. Additionally, Qatari filmmaker Amal Al Muftah and Ousman Camara, a QF alumnus now running a nonprofit in Sierra Leone focused on youth education and mental health, share their experiences. These stories illustrate how QF provides opportunities for individuals to pursue their passions and address critical societal needs.

According to Yousif Al-Naama, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Foundation, the true legacy of the organization lies not in its physical infrastructure but in the lives it has touched. He emphasized that the initiative serves as a reminder of the foundation’s core mission: empowering individuals to make a difference. The platform aims to inspire future generations by demonstrating the tangible benefits of QF’s support.

The digital platform offers an immersive experience, allowing visitors to explore personal narratives across various life stages. From early education experiences to university research breakthroughs and entrepreneurial ventures, each story provides a unique perspective on the QF journey. The platform also highlights the unexpected moments of inspiration that have shaped these individuals’ paths. This focus on personal stories aims to create a more relatable and engaging connection with the foundation’s work.

QF’s impact extends beyond Qatar’s borders, as evidenced by Camara’s work in Sierra Leone. This demonstrates the foundation’s commitment to fostering global citizenship and supporting development initiatives internationally. The foundation has increasingly focused on international collaborations and knowledge sharing, positioning Qatar as a hub for innovation and education in the region. This global outlook is a key component of QF’s long-term strategy.

The launch of “The QF Generation” coincides with a period of significant growth and diversification for Qatar Foundation. Recent initiatives include expansions in research funding and the development of new educational programs focused on emerging technologies. These efforts are aligned with Qatar’s National Vision 2030, which prioritizes human capital development and economic diversification. The foundation plays a crucial role in achieving these national goals.

The QF Generation digital platform is currently live and accessible to the public. Looking ahead, Qatar Foundation is expected to continue expanding its programs and initiatives, with a particular focus on sustainability and innovation. Further details regarding future anniversary events and long-term strategic plans are anticipated in the coming months, as the foundation assesses the impact of its first three decades and prepares for the next phase of its development.

Qatar Foundation continues to be a pivotal organization in Qatar’s development.
