The first phase of the Hajj security plans has been successfully completed at Arafat, with all pilgrims ascending on time. Col. Talal Al-Shalhoub, security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, highlighted the integrated traffic and organizational plans that ensured flexibility, promptness, and efficiency. Penalties were imposed on 25 violators who transported 103 individuals without the proper Hajj permits. The second phase involves transporting pilgrims from Arafat to Muzdalifah for the night before heading back to Mina for Eid Al-Adha and the days of Tashreeq. Security personnel are managing vehicle traffic and pedestrian movement to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience.

The Ministry of Health’s health plan on the Day of Arafat has been successful, with over 112,000 pilgrims benefiting from various medical services. Services include medical and specialized clinics, pharmacies, dialysis centers, intensive care rooms, and isolation units. The ministry performed 20 open-heart surgeries, 230 cardiac catheterizations, and 819 kidney dialysis operations. Pilgrims are advised to use umbrellas to prevent sunstroke, stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure, and take breaks to prevent heat exhaustion while performing rituals at the Holy Sites.

Ayed Al-Ghuwaynem, undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Hajj Affairs, confirmed the completion of the phase of transporting pilgrims to Arafat with ease. Field teams are present throughout the Hajj journey to ensure pilgrims’ rights are upheld during their rituals. Saleh Al-Zowaid, spokesman for the transportation system, reported that over 300,000 pilgrims were transported via the Mashaer Train. The focus is on providing a smooth and efficient transportation experience for all pilgrims.

Security personnel are deployed to manage and organize the movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the roads leading to Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Mina. Crowd control at the Mashaer Train stations is a priority, along with managing pedestrian movement on designated roads. Pilgrims are urged to adhere to regulations and instructions, follow specified routes and directions, and cooperate with security personnel for a successful pilgrimage experience. Continued compliance is essential for the smooth flow of activities during Hajj.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Aali, spokesman of the Ministry of Health, emphasized the importance of preventive measures to avoid sunstroke, such as using umbrellas, staying hydrated, and avoiding direct sun exposure during peak hours. Pilgrims are advised to take breaks and avoid stress while performing rituals. The ministry’s health plan has provided comprehensive medical services to ensure the well-being of pilgrims throughout their Hajj journey, including surgeries, dialysis, and monitoring of heat-related illnesses.

In conclusion, the successful completion of the first phase of the Hajj security plans at Arafat is a testament to the meticulous planning and execution by the Ministry of Interior. Pilgrims are reminded to adhere to regulations, follow instructions, and cooperate with security personnel for a safe and fulfilling pilgrimage experience. The Ministry of Health’s comprehensive health plan has provided essential medical services to over 112,000 pilgrims to ensure their well-being during the Hajj journey. With continued cooperation and adherence to preventive measures, pilgrims can safely complete their rituals and prayers at the Holy Sites.
