The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) – Al Musannah Branch and Rustaq College of Education are poised to celebrate a momentous occasion: the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025. This significant event will recognize the achievements of 837 students as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives, contributing their skills and knowledge to the Sultanate of Oman. The ceremony underscores UTAS’s commitment to providing high-quality education aligned with the demands of the modern job market and national development goals.

Preparations Complete for UTAS Al Musannah Graduation Ceremony

All logistical arrangements have been finalized for the graduation ceremony, scheduled to be held on Wednesday, December 10th, at the Rustaq Sports Complex in the South Al Batinah Governorate. This year’s cohort represents a diverse range of disciplines and a testament to the dedication of both institutions. The ceremony will be a formal and celebratory occasion, acknowledging years of hard work and academic pursuit.

Distinguished Guests and Attendees

The event will be held under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Faris bin Turki Al Said. Also in attendance will be H.E. Dr. Said bin Hamed Al Rubaie, the Vice-Chancellor of UTAS, along with respected members of the State Council, key officials from both North and South Al Batinah Governorates, and, most importantly, the proud families of the graduating students. The presence of these dignitaries highlights the importance placed on higher education and the future of Oman’s youth.

A Diverse Range of Disciplines Represented

Graduates from UTAS–Al Musannah’s Colleges of Engineering & Technology, Economics & Business Administration, and Computing & Information Sciences will be honored alongside students from Rustaq College of Education specializing in Science, Mathematics, and English. This broad spectrum of academic backgrounds reflects the diverse educational offerings available at both institutions. The degrees conferred will include Bachelor’s degrees, as well as Advanced Diplomas and Diplomas, catering to different levels of academic achievement and professional pathways.

Dr. Nasser bin Salem Al Bimani, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for UTAS–Al Musannah, emphasized the significance of this graduating class. He stated they are a prime example of the university’s success in fostering a learning environment that seamlessly integrates theoretical concepts with practical application. This emphasis ensures graduates are not only knowledgeable but also prepared for the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in their careers.

Graduates Equipped for Oman’s Future

The focus on practical skills is a core tenet of UTAS’s educational philosophy. Dr. Al Bimani further highlighted that these graduates are equipped to make a substantial contribution to various national sectors. These meetings focused on meticulously reviewing all event logistics, finalizing the ceremony program, and coordinating essential media coverage. The goal is to deliver a presentation that is truly befitting of the students’ remarkable journey and unwavering dedication. A polished and professional ceremony is a testament to the students’ accomplishments.

Dr. Sarah bint Mohammed Al Bahlani, Dean of Rustaq College of Education, extended her praise to all the committees involved in the planning process. She noted that this academic milestone represents the culmination of years of diligent study and the acquisition of valuable knowledge and skills. This rigorous training empowers graduates to confidently enter the workforce and pursue fulfilling careers in their chosen fields.
