Stars of Science, the Arab world’s leading innovation TV show, is gearing up for its 16th season, set to premiere on September 7. The show, created by Qatar Foundation, aims to inspire millions of viewers while promoting social progress. Seven contestants from various Arab countries will compete at the Qatar Science & Technology Park over 12 weeks to develop and refine their innovations with the help of expert mentorship. The ultimate goal is to be named the Top Arab Innovator and win a share of the Grand Prize.

Since its debut in 2009, Stars of Science has encouraged Arab innovators to think outside the box and tackle crucial regional and global challenges. The show has showcased a wide range of innovative solutions, from healthcare advancements to sustainable technologies and artificial intelligence breakthroughs. The impact of the show goes beyond the competition itself, with past contestants making significant contributions to their fields and achieving success on a global scale.

Season 15 of Stars of Science saw Mohammed Abbas Albumijdad from Saudi Arabia emerge as the winner with his revolutionary ‘Crawler Robot for Vertical Surfaces.’ Albumijdad credits the show for not only providing him with a platform to showcase his idea but also for the invaluable support and mentorship he received along the way. Former contestant Ahmad Zahlan, now a PhD student focusing on AI healthcare startups, also acknowledges the role Stars of Science played in shaping his career path and academic pursuits.

Khalid Aljumaily, the longtime host of Stars of Science, emphasizes the show’s impact on the innovators it features. Despite being a TV program rather than an accelerator, Stars of Science has been a game-changer for many contestants, propelling them towards success and recognition. Aljumaily expresses pride in being part of a show that is dedicated to advancing the world through groundbreaking innovations.

The upcoming season of Stars of Science promises to deliver more cutting-edge projects, inspiring stories, and remarkable contestants. Viewers can expect to be on the edge of their seats as they witness the creativity and determination of the Arab innovators competing for the coveted title of Top Arab Innovator. With the show airing on multiple channels and online platforms, audiences from around the region will have the opportunity to follow the journey of the contestants and witness the next wave of groundbreaking innovations.

As the countdown to the premiere of Season 16 begins, anticipation is building for another round of intense competition and groundbreaking innovations on Stars of Science. With its track record of inspiring and empowering Arab innovators, the show continues to be a beacon of creativity and success in the region. As the legacy of Stars of Science grows, so too does the impact of its alumni, who are making waves not only in the Arab world but on a global scale.
