13-year-old in Dubai dreams of playing international cricket after being inspired by India-Pakistan match

The historic women’s cricket match between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday drew a large crowd of 16,000 fans. Despite the intense heat and early kick off time, cricket enthusiasts from both countries showed up to support their teams. Among the Indian supporters were Deepak Pandey, his wife Manisha, and their children Sharika and Arjan. They were thrilled to experience their first international cricket match since moving to Dubai six months ago.

Vikash Chandra, an Indian expat, rarely misses an opportunity to attend an India-Pakistan game in the UAE. He highlighted the thrill of watching any match between the two arch-rivals and expressed his excitement at witnessing a women’s cricket match for the first time. Chandra and his friends, who were wearing matching t-shirts, enjoyed the unique experience of cheering for the women’s teams.
